It gives me great pleasure and pride to write these words for “The Saif-ul-Malook” a literary, educational & scientific magazine of Govt. College Balakot which has excelled in curricular, co-curricular and research fields over the last few years. Pursuit of excellence in all spheres is the key feature of Government College Balakot. Achievements of this college are greater in number. The thing that inspires me the most is the zest shown by the staff and students in research, innovation and creativity in curricular and co-curricular domains.
Education facilitates learning, acquisition of knowledge and skills. It instills religious, moral, social and cultural values leading to personality development of students. Here I would like to state Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s vision of education who believed that the key to the political, economic and social development of Pakistan was through purposeful education. The father of the nation said, “Develop a sound sense of discipline, character, initiative and a solid academic background for which you must devote yourself whole-heartedly to your studies, for that is your first obligation to yourselves, your parents and to the state”. You must learn to obey for only then you can learn to command.
I am happy that new edition of “The Saif-ul-Malook” a literary, educational, and scientific magazine of Government College Balakot is ready for publication. It is the proof of your love and quest for knowledge and creativity. It will surely showcase the creative talent of students and staff. I appreciate and admire the efforts of editorial team and the Principal of Govt. College Balakot Balakot in this regard. I pray and hope that under the commendable guidance of the Principal, the college will continue its journey of success in future.
